about

Also available as 12" vinyl (sold out). Hello, I am a press release. I know I'm meant to say amazing things about the audio package I accompany but damn, if this doesn't get comments like Funk D'Void hits Heavenly form with his remix the Silicone Soul boys explore their darkest room yet downloaded for DJ Minimal Biscuits then I will eat my Traktor Kontrol S4 without the aid of lubricating condiments. This Lucidflow release revisits 2011's blanketing bass duvet that was Making A Difference, crafted by the rather awesome pairing of Nadja Lind and Paul Loraine. Those who are not lucky enough to be able to play those vintage spinny black music disc things can finally get their hands on this awesome package via the digital version. As mentioned, this journey down memory lane sees interpretations from Soma veterans Funk D'Void and Silicone Soul, and they really have brought something special to the table. So much so that respected names like Joris Voorn have already been bitten by the bug. Lars Funk D'Void Sandberg is an ever present name of the industry, revered by peers such as Danny Howells, Hernan Catteneo, Nick Warren and Nic Fanciulli. He has been lovely enough to take a break from running his Outpost label to turn in a truly masterful remix. Utilising the sharp edged harmonic funk in the same sort of form that catapulted Heavenly into the all time favourite charts, this is magma hot. Another act that has graduated from the legendary Soma stable to run their own imprint, Silicone Soul turn in a stark and tense hypnohouse dub, urging you to focus as etheral chants drift over a breathlessly skeletal backdrop. Also included in this package, and from the original 2011 version, is Nadja's Klartraum production partner Helmut Ebritsch's slick and soulful re-rub, sticking faithfully to the original's bass heavy template but blanketing it even further in melted chocolate smooth textures. Welcome to 2013 everyone, this is just the start.
